Since 2015, Liveurope takes the occasion of Europe Day to celebrate our continent’s diversity through music, culture, and creativity. For this 8th edition, the Liveurope member venues Ancienne Belgique and L’Aéronef are joining forces to put together a truly European cross-border celebration organised across two days between Brussels and Lille.

The event will kick off in Brussels on May 12th and end in Lille on the 13th. It will bring together representatives from Liveurope’s 21 venues, local and international music professionals, artists, decision-makers, journalists, and audiences of all ages from all over the continent for music discoveries, networking moments and discussions on hot topics for the sector.

And it wouldn’t be Liveurope’s Europe Day festivities without great gigs with some of the continent’s hottest acts right now! The host venues have planned not one but two special concert evenings featuring a selection of promising young artists that will take audiences on a colourful trip through Europe’s diverse and eclectic music scenes.

In these troubled times Europe is facing, it’s more important than ever to take this opportunity to gather and celebrate our shared values through music and culture. Especially after nearly 2 years of shutdown of the live music sector, this is the moment for European citizens to come together and put cultural cooperation on the centre stage.

The initiative is co-funded by the Creative Europe programme of the EU and has the official endorsement of the French Presidency of the Council of the European Union and the Cultural Creators Friendship Group, a cross-partisan coalition of currently 26 Members of the European Parliament from 6 different political groups and 14 different countries.
