ICFR: Emergency fund for filmmakers
The International Coalition for Filmmakers at Risk, the partnership established by our partner the International Documentary Film Festival Amsterdam (IDFA), the International Film Festival Rotterdam (IFFR) and the European Film Academy to act as the film community’s collective response to cases of filmmakers facing severe risk, has set up a special “Emergency Fund for Filmmakers” and received donations from across the international film community in a joint effort to help film practitioners directly in danger due to the ongoing war in Ukraine.
At our Europe Day event in Amsterdam on May 9 we programme three documentaries from the IDFA curated pathway Life in Europe, our annual collaboration with IDFA, on a big screen. If you cannot make it, you can see them via the IDFA site, after the paywall.
