Hungarian Translation Workshop
To complement Modern Poetry in Translation’s spring issue, Clean Hands: Focus on the Pandemic in Europe, we are pleased to launch this online workshop sponsored by the European Cultural Foundation. This poem is by the Hungarian poet Anna T Szabo, whose Selected Poems, Trust, is published by Arc in the UK this spring, co-translated by Anna with Clare Pollard. Anna has kindly made this bridge translation and given us these helpful notes. Please post your translations up by 20 May, and Anna T Szabo will pick their favourite submissions to feature on the MPT website.
