In a continent-wide celebration of inclusion and shared Irish and European values, young people in 10 GAA clubs across the EU will participate in a special Europe Day ‘Go Games’ event, coordinated by Gaelic Games Europe.

Throughout the morning, children aged 10 to 12 will play Gaelic football, hurling and camogie – Ireland’s national sports.

At the same time, in Dublin, players from Na Gaeil Nua, Ireland’s first explicitly international and migrant inclusive GAA team, will come together for a Europe Day training session to celebrate integration and solidarity through sport.

GAA is played in every county in Ireland and in Irish communities all over the world. Gaelic Games have also become a bridge for those without any Irish heritage to engage with this unique sporting tradition.
