Did you know that every year on 9 May, Europe Day is held across the EU? Then we commemorate the first steps towards European cooperation in 1950. This began an era of: peace, cooperation and integration. In The Hague, this will be celebrated on 8 and 9 May 2026.

Description

9:00 a.m.: Together with diplomatic representatives and the city, we hoist the European flag at the Hofvijver.

10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.: Mario kart racing in the new Europa Experience, Grote Marktstraat.

11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.: Visit the Space Buzzon the square in front of the Kurhaus in Scheveningen and learn more about European space travel and climate.
There are also European activities at welfare organization WijkZ (Segbroek) and community center de Mussen (Center).
