Description
On 9 May, we will celebrate Europe Day in Narva with a large public concert on the Town Hall Square. You can visit the Ida-Viru Future Fair, play an orienteering game and cheer on the concert of local youth bands. A concert area with cafes and a European tent will be open. Events celebrating Europe Day in Ida-Viru County will continue throughout the week.
Europe Day is a day for all of us – let’s celebrate it together in Narva – the city where Europe begins.
Schedule
11.00-15.00 Family day at Stochkolmi Square and Narva Town Hall
13:00–16:00 At the Ida-Viru Future Fair, local companies and vocational and higher education institutions will share information about study and job opportunities in the Ida-Viru region.
15:00 The winners of the Europe Day Youth Band Competition will take over the stage of Narva Town Hall Square: the folk-rock band Virland from Kohtla-Järve, the rock band The Rising from Jõhvi and the pop-rock-folk band Between Two Stars from Narva. Come with the whole class and cheer on your favourites!
At 17:00, the grandiose main concert of Europe Day will begin on the Town Hall Square, with performances by the Narva City Symphony Orchestra, Ott Lepland and Tanja Mihhailova, and the evening will end with NOËP.
The concert is free of charge for everyone.
The European information tent and festival area will be open: AI booth, face painting, trampolines, outdoor cafes and many other activities for the whole family.
This year, the European-themed orienteering game for school classes can be played in both Narva and Kohtla-Järve and throughout the European Week – from 4 to 10 May!
