Description
Discover Europe in Utrecht, from 6 May
In Utrecht, everyone can go on a European discovery tour in the Neude Library.
From 6 May to Saturday 9 May, children from 8 years old can do the Europe Scavenger Hunt. Join us on an adventure through Europe… without leaving the library! With puzzles, hints and fun facts, they discover in a playful way what Europe has to offer.
The following program will take place on Saturday 9 May:
- 11.00 – 13.00 uur. Praat mee over vrouwenrechten in de Europese Unie (in het Huis van Actief Burgerschap).
- 13.00 – 14.30 uur. Debat & pleidooi: De toekomst van een weerbaar Europa (in de Theaterzaal).
- 13.30 – 16.00 uur. Infomarkt met organisaties & spellen (op de 2e verdieping).
- 14.00 – 16.30 uur. Wetenschappers aan het woord: wat betekent Europese samenwerking voor jou? (in de Collegezaal).
- 16.30 – 18.00 hrs. Europe pub quiz by De Grote Podcastlas (in restaurant NODA).
- 19.30 – 21.00 hrs. European documentary: ‘Notes from Brussels’ (in the cinema).
This event is in honour of Europe Day. May 9 is Europe’s birthday. Every year, this day is celebrated in all EU countries. Then we commemorate the first steps towards European cooperation in 1950. This began an era of: peace, cooperation and integration.
