Under the national theme ‘Discovering without limits’, we invite you to experience Europe in a very accessible way. Not abstract or far away, but through stories from people from your own region, scientific projects, interactive games, encounters that linger and activities that show how Europe also touches your daily life.
This is your chance to:
- Gain new insights about a world that is much closer than you think.
- To talk to others about themes that concern us all.
- Discover for yourself what European cooperation means in your city, your region.
- Go on an adventure with children through a scavenger hunt, puzzles and games.
- To enjoy inspiring speakers, surprising activities and fascinating stories.
Together we will show in Amersfoort and Utrecht how Europe lives in our province: in-depth, surprising, free and above all very accessible.

Programma’s:
Ontdek Europa in Amersfoort
In the evening, there will be a special evening program in the central hall of the Eemhuis in collaboration with the Clingendael Institute.
This event is in honour of Europe Day. May 9 is Europe’s birthday. Every year, this day is celebrated in all EU countries. Then we commemorate the first steps towards European cooperation in 1950. This began an era of: peace, cooperation and integration.
