The panel discussion on the topic of EU elections is organized by Diaspora Vote, an NGO that deals with the topic of representative political participation within the European Union. The discussion focuses on how the voices of citizens, especially those who live outside their country of origin, can be better heard and represented. Politicians of the governing parties debate the role of the EU institutions, voter turnout, the Europeanization of national politics and the challenges posed by populist movements. The discussion aims to convey a deeper understanding of the complexity of the EU elections and to discuss ways to strengthen European democracy, especially taking into account the interests of citizens with a migration biography.
