The Representation of the European Commission in Barcelona and Europe Direct Lleida have organized the performance of the play “The idea of Europe” followed by a debate-colloquium with secondary school students.
It is a monologue by the actor and director Òscar Intente, with music by Ferran Martínez, based on the libretto “The idea of Europe” by the philosopher George Steiner, where he reflects on what it means to be European, the history and diversity of Europe, the challenges we face, among others. After the monologue, there will be a debate with Òscar Intente himself and a representative of the European Commission in Barcelona with the audience, moderated and encouraged by Lola Vendetta.
The participating schools and groups are the students of the 4th year of ESO from the Torrevicens and Joan Solà high schools, and the students of the 1st year of baccalaureate from the Sant Jaume les Heures center.
