Cultural Deal EU Hub Meeting

To mark Europe Day, the Dutch Europaplatform (coordinated by Kunsten ’92, European Cultural Foundation, Culture Action Europe and DutchCulture) is hosting a hub meeting.

The meeting will bring together professionals active in the Dutch cultural and creative sector with a (future) interest in working across European borders, to collaboratively examine the Cultural Deal for Europe and make it more relevant to the Dutch context.

Specifically, the meeting will look at how the Deal can strengthen European cultural policy at Dutch national level. The aim is to generate concrete proposals for how to implement the Cultural Deal within the Netherlands, and to investigate ways in which to connect European campaigns to their Dutch counterparts.

The hub meeting will focus specifically on five pillars from the Cultural Deal, deemed most relevant to the Dutch context.

Paralel to the Hub Meeting the three organisers have published an open letter calling unto the Dutch government to earmark at least 2% of the budget of their share of the European Recovery and Resilience Fund to culture. Find the letter here.
